Mary Louise Parker can be seen as a true rising star in Hollywood. As a steadily working actress in both New York and Hollywood, we can see how Mary Louise Parker created a stunning and highly impressive career and continues to thrive nowadays, thanks in part mainly to her having snag a really cool and very impressive lead role on the Showtime hit television show “Weeds”. In this highly popular network television show we can see how Mary Louise Parker plays a struggling single mom, having just become a widow, trying to make ends meet. Until one day she discovers how lucrative and profitable selling weed can be. The show itself is hilarious and very addicting to anyone that watches it!

But aside from having a new hit television show, Mary Louise Parker has also had a Tony award winning career right on Broadway for many years with hit productions such as “Proof” and “Prelude to a kiss”. Nancy soon finds herself in the marijuana trade, selling weed to all of her neighborhoods customers. The best part is that she goes by completely unnoticed by any of her neighbors!

Soon, Nancy evolved as a very savvy business woman who often struggles to balance her family life and her newfound “career”. Nonetheless, Nancy went from almost nothing to a full fledged queen pin entrepreneur, leading the weed selling business in her entire community! It’s hard to believe that this show has already lasted a full four seasons, with a fifth season coming up in just a few months! You can never really tell what Nancy’s up to and that’s just what makes this show so darn interesting!

What do 300 and Troy have in common? Aside from being considered as two of the most buzz-worthy historical/epic films that showcase the best choreographed fight scenes in the history of the big screen, these movies showcase the most profitable trump card that a film could ever use to monopolize colossal viewership and box office success—featuring shirtless male celebrities on screen.

This proved to be a good move for these films considering the millions of dollars they earned during the first few weeks of release. But then again, these films don’t just boast of godly movie star bodies and bare chests. 300 and Troy are movies that really required the actors to act, train and be in the moment of being a thespian during the whole movie. Moreover, showing off their ripped muscles and abs are a necessity to make the films realistic.

In the recent years, the trend of including shirtless male celebrities in movie scenes has been used by producers and directors to make a movie sell. Consider it as a technique to populate movie houses with female hormones. For some, it might be considered as perfectly fine, but when searching for the necessity for these scenes come into question, can producers and directors actually answer for them?

Some Hollywood film producers and moviemakers are guilty of using sex as a means to entice viewers to watch a film, and if sales and box office records are concerned, this technique is surely working to their advantage. After all, in this day and age, sex sells in real or reel life.
